Building Future-Ready Students Through Career+ Pathways™ Skills Bootcamps

By Kimba Rund

This fall, Career+ Pathways™ partnered with schools and local employers to host a series of hands-on Skills Bootcamps designed to help students explore careers, build industry-relevant competencies, and gain confidence in their future plans. Across four bootcamps — Public Safety, Human Services, AI in Marketing, and ELL Workforce Reality English — more than 50 students participated in immersive, high-impact learning experiences grounded in real skills, real tools, and real professionals.

The feedback was clear: students aren’t just learning about careers. They’re practicing the skills that will help them succeed in them.

Stations like the law enforcement search and corrections simulation were standouts, giving students a closer look at what these roles require — and sparking curiosity about future pathways.

Human Services Skills Bootcamp

AI in Marketing Skills Bootcamp

Empowering students to use today’s most influential digital tools

Partnering with Phoenix Solutions Group, students explored generative AI, prompting, multimodal tools, and real-world marketing workflows. For many, this was their first time using platforms like Google Gemini, ChatGPT, Sora, ElevenLabs, or Miro.

This bootcamp was a powerful reminder of how essential digital literacy and AI fluency have become in every industry.

ELL Workforce Reality English Bootcamp

  • exposure to new careers
  • hands-on, real-world practice
  • deeper understanding of their own strengths
  • meaningful interactions with local employers

At Career+ Pathways™, we believe career exploration should be active, personal, and empowering. By connecting students directly with industry professionals, workplace tools, and authentic challenges, we help them build the readiness and resilience they need to transition into enrollment, employment, or enlistment.

Looking Ahead

We’re already planning for spring semester bootcamps, with opportunities to expand into new industries and deepen existing partnerships. If your organization would like to participate — as a host site, mentor, or project partner — we’d love to connect.

Together, we’re building meaningful pathways to the future workforce!
